What your child will learn: Sounds & Sight Words
- Sound out words slowly: c-a-t makes 'cat'. Stretch it like bubble gum!
- Sight words are words we see so often we just KNOW them: the, and, was, said.
- Read from left to right, and point to each word with your finger.
- If you get stuck, look at the picture for a clue.
