What your child will learn: Solids, Liquids & Gases
- SOLIDS keep their shape: ice, rocks, pencils.
- LIQUIDS flow and take the shape of their container: water, milk, honey.
- GASES spread out to fill any space: air, steam, the helium in balloons.
- Heat changes matter! Ice (solid) melts to water (liquid), and boiling water becomes steam (gas). Cooling reverses it.
