What your child will learn: Ecosystems & Food Chains
- An ecosystem is a community of living things plus their home (forest, pond, desert).
- A food chain shows who eats whom: grass → grasshopper → frog → hawk.
- Producers (plants) make their own food from sunlight. Consumers (animals) must eat. Decomposers (mushrooms, worms) recycle dead things into soil.
- Remove one link and the whole chain feels it: that's why every creature matters!
